Molins Ventures invests in Methanol Reformer to accelerate industrial decarbonization

Barcelona, Spain – 23 October 2026

  • The strategic partnership will enable the validation and integration of hydrogen and power generation solutions in industrial and construction environments

Molins Ventures the corporate venture capital arm of Molins, has announced its entry into the capital of Methanol Reformer, a company specializing in hydrogen and electricity generation solutions from methanol.

The investment is part of Molins’ decarbonization roadmap, aimed at accelerating the transition towards more sustainable and efficient industrial operations.

This transaction represents a direct industrial validation of the technology developed by Methanol Reformer, based on the decentralized generation of hydrogen and electrical energy, designed for application in mobile and stationary environments.

Beyond the financial investment, both companies will work jointly to integrate these solutions into the operations of Molins.

Use cases such as the replacement of diesel generators on construction sites, energy supply in off-grid environments, charging of heavy machinery in construction, and the incorporation of hydrogen into energy-intensive industrial processes, such as industrial furnaces, will be explored.

This collaboration will accelerate the implementation of innovative energy solutions in industrial and construction applications, reinforcing both companies’ commitment to the decarbonization of industry.

Statements

“Molins Ventures’ entry into our capital represents highly relevant strategic backing for Methanol Reformer and an industrial validation of the technology on which we develop our energy solutions. This agreement goes beyond a financial investment: we will work jointly to integrate our solutions into the operations of Molins, contributing to the decarbonization of industrial processes where there is an urgent need for more sustainable alternatives.”, said Javier Torres, Managing Director of Methanol Reformer.
